Prototype, an action-packed open-world game, throws players into the chaotic aftermath of a viral outbreak in New York City. Despite its promising premise, the game struggles to meet expectations in various aspects, including visuals, narrative, and gameplay.

Visually, Prototype disappoints, even considering the standards of its release time. The graphics fail to deliver a satisfying experience, with lackluster textures and a generally unpolished look that makes it hard to appreciate the game’s potential. In an era where visuals were becoming increasingly sophisticated, Prototype lags behind, failing to make a memorable impact.

The voice acting in Prototype adds to its list of shortcomings. Stiff, uninspired, and rushed performances characterize the cast, robbing the narrative of the emotional depth needed to engage players.
